No, Joel. Just the Crown/1/B stamp on the receiver. I havent completely disassembled it yet. I assume barrel proofs are under the top hand guard.

In general you are correct Herbert, but I have seen a number of volunteer firearms taken into military service and some military rifles converted by well known retailers into sporting arms.
